Kayak Angers of Missouri (KAMO) was founded in 2018 by Jerrad Saffle, Mel Isaacs, Carl Pride, Ryan Cummings, Steve Leaman, Jordan Isaacs, and Gina Ueke. KAMO is the largest kayak bass fishing nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization in Missouri. The primary targets for our tournaments are largemouth, spotted, and smallmouth bass. All of our tournaments are strictly CPR which stands for catch, photo, and release!
KAMO invites anglers of all skill levels to compete in our tournaments that travel around the state of Missouri. One of our goals is to create a welcoming tournament environment to help guide and educate beginning anglers. As of 2020, Missouri youth are also welcome to compete (see Tournament Rules).
KAMO’s tournament season runs March through October with seven scheduled trail events, the members’ only monthly online series, and the KAMO Classic Championship. We host charity events, and other family oriented events.
KAMO also partners with national organizations such as Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF). Our members fish a variety of national level tournaments such as KBF Trail events, KBF National Championship, KBF’s The Ten, Hobie Bass Open Series, and BassMaster’s B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Series.
KAMO strives to foster camaraderie, sportsmanship, conservation, and preservation of our fisheries throughout Missouri and the kayak fishing community.
We hope you will join us!
